Music!
You're probably wondering, "What the fuck, there's music too?" No, there isn't, at least not yet. I'm not that brilliant! But what I will put on this page is the music that I suggest listening to while reading, or the music that I listened to while writing. Hell, I'm even going to put music here that inspired me my entire life, because I firmly believe in all forms of artistry.
Pride And Fall - Border
I've always been completely captivated by this song. It even inspired me to start writing the books, as it resonated with the themes of the stories I imagined sixteen years ago. Every time I hear it, I can't help but picture an epic battle for souls, which is why I associate it with the first battle when the Sylphs invaded Hiraeth.Â
Borislav Slavov - Divinity Original Sin II Soundtrack
The initial draft of The Aetherfire Conflict was called "The Dragons of Shadowhold". Written before Trystan joined me, was extensively inspired by this soundtrack. Unbeknownst to me, I had woven too much story into it, making it the framework for the trilogy. Then Trystan came along, they became the yin to my yang, and now here we are! Nowadays, I play this soundtrack when I embark on my first full edit of a book. My favorite songs are: Quirky Bones, Red Prince's Theme, Sing for Me, The Queen's High Seas, and Divine's Lament (which features Borslav's vocals!). Truly the whole thing is a masterpiece and if ever our books were made into movies or games I would want Borislav Slavov in charge of music.
